The pleasure is all Mine!
Welcome to Longfellow Elementary. My name is Leslie Ford and it is my pleasure to serve you and your children this year . Longfellow Elementary is an extraordinary site where our goal is to educate and motivate young children through play and exploration by providing well designed activities/lessons based on Preschool Foundations, The Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP), and Common Core State Standards.
We are proud to share that we have the first District State Preschool, the Dual Immersion Programs for Preschool and Transitional Kindergarten, as well as fabulous TK/Kinder programs and teachers from Dalton and Lee Elementary. We are a full service elementary with 2 Speech Therapists and a full time Psychologist. We have hired a community liaison to work with parents and facilitate a volunteer program .
Please look at the volunteer page on the "Parent Page" to see how you might support exciting activities and programs for you child(ren). I pledge to work diligently to support your children as the site administrator and Director of Early Child Education for the Azusa Unified School District.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at (626) 815-4700 or email: email@example.com. ( Please identify yourself as a parent/caregiver). Again, welcome to a most incredible early childhood educational center in the Azusa Unified School District.
The mission of the Azusa Unified School District - Early Childhood Education program is to provide quality and appropriate educational and developmental experiences for preschool, transitional kinder, and kindergarten children and their families within a safe and nurturing environment, which result in productive students, strong families, and effective community partners.
